A Tasmanian building company
We build one-off houses on private blocks across Greater Hobart and southern Tasmania. Not display homes with the colours changed — houses drawn for the block they stand on.
Transparent, practical, and personal
Building a house is most people's largest single commitment, and most of the stress in it comes from not knowing what happens next. So we keep the process plain: you know what stage the build is at, what it costs, and who to ring.
That means costing allowances properly before the contract is signed rather than discovering them at lock-up, and putting one supervisor on your build who stays on it through to handover.
The foundations of the work
Quality that shows later
The parts of a house you never see are the parts that decide how it ages. Waterproofing, flashing, frame tolerances, drainage falls — the detail that is invisible at handover and obvious in ten years.
Clear communication
Realistic timeframes, costs up front, and a straight answer when something changes. You are welcome on your own site at any stage of the build.
Tasmanian trades
We work with the same local subcontractors across our builds. They know our standard, we know their work, and nobody is learning on your house.
Built for this climate
Orientation, glazing, insulation and thermal mass worked for Tasmanian conditions — southerly wind, coastal salt, and winters that test how a house is sealed.
Local knowledge is the useful kind
Southern Tasmania is not flat and it is not uniform. A block in Kingborough behaves differently from one in Sorell, and the cost of building on a slope is decided long before anything is drawn — by access, by rock, by where the services come in from.
Walking the site is how that gets answered honestly. It is also why our first conversation happens on the block rather than across a desk.
Talk to us about your block
Tell us where it is and roughly what you have in mind. We will walk it with you and tell you honestly what it takes to build there.
